KING (CHINOOK) SALMON
Oncorhynchus tshawytscha
My wife often outfishes me on our fishing trips, both in size and number of fish. On our last Rogue River trip, she caught twice as many fish as me and she got this big one a 25-pound king, fresh from the ocean and bright as chrome. The king (or chinook) is the largest salmon in the world, and often grows to several times this size in waters further north.
